What are Techniques?
Techniques
These are what make a Nin diffrent from an every day soldier. There are three diffrent types of Techniques
*Ninjitsu is what Ninjas use most. It deals with energy types and a lot of tricks.
*Genjitsu is the art of using illusions, either altering what everyone sees or just one person's senses.
*Taijitsu is the art of hand to hand combat Ninjas use.
A nin will use all of these to accomplish their tasks.
Gaining Techniques from Leveling
A Nin fresh out of the Academy has 3 Basic Ninjitsu and/or basuc Genjitsu techniques, and one other technique that is usually related to their clan.
As a nin levels up, he gains more and more techniques.
Level 2: 2 Additional Basics
Level 5: 3 More Basics
Level 6: 1 Basic, 1 Intermediate. If a Nin has a bloodline their first Bloodline activates instead of the Intermediate.
Level 8: 2 Intermediate, 1 Intermediate and another Basic Bloodline ability.
Level 11: 3 Intermediate.
Level 13: 1 Advance, and 1 Intermediate. Bloodline Gets a Greater ability instead of the advance.
Level 15: 2 Advance, an an additional intermediate.
Level 18: 2 Advance, or 1 Advance and another Greater Bloodline ability.
Level 20: 1 Ultimate or 1 Ultimate Bloodline ability.
Gaining Techniques from Training
A nin can learn other techniques on their own time from either watching other techniques being performed or learning from a source.
To learn a technique to make an Intelligence Check against a DC.
Basic Academy Ninjitsu, Genjitsu, and Taijitsu all have DCs of 25.
Intermediate Techniques have a DC of 45.
Advance Techniques have a DC of 55.
Ultimate Techniques have a technique DC of 75.
When you roll the check, you add your intelligence and chakra bonus to the roll. You subtract that number from the DC and thats how many days of training it takes to master the technique.
If someone is teaching you, you get a bonus to learning the technique equal to the differences of levels between the sensei and the student.(Min 1).
When your training for the technique, whenever you see someone perform it, you subtract 1 day from the required training. If you finish learning a technique this way, you can use the technique with the appropriate max DC until you train one more day for the technique, where you can make the mastery roll.
Mastering a Technique
When you either master a technique from training or leveling up, you make a chakra check against the list below. You subtract the roll from the DC and thats the Control Chakra check you have to beat to use the technique.
*Basic Techniques have a DC of 25.
*Intermediate Techniques have a DC of 30.
*Advance Techniques have a DC of 40.
*Ultimate Techniques have a DC of 50.
